I've taken it a few times before due to MRSA. It actually made me feel nausea at first. About a week after taking it I always get the wicked shits. So I go to CVS and buy a box of probiotics and it helps. My infectious disease doctor in Orlando says the symptoms I experienced are common. I will say it works for sure.

I love Zyvox. I've only had side effects once. A couple of weeks ago I was on it with Cipro. I was getting awful headaches pretty much all day. I'm pretty sure it was from vitamin deficiency due to the dosing restrictions on Cipro. So if you are on Cipro too, be careful and take your vitamins in that one hour window each day. Also, the tyramine warning can be really important. Be careful with smoked meats, cheeses, and red wines. Although when you look at the limits you can have some but not an abundance of tyramine rich foods. So when you look at the drug warnings it lists the tyramine contents and the amount you should stay under per meal.

All in all, I love zyvox. It's saved me from many hospitalizations.

Ive been on zyvox quite a bit and i have never had any problems.

My two year old just started it too. Scary, agreed! She seems to not have much of an appetite and loose stools. She is on a few antibiotics, so hard to say which one is causing it. Hope you are feeling good and no side effects!

The only thing I've noticed is that it upsets my stomach, but I also have that happen with most antibiotics anyways.
